Séjour de Christianne Bélanger dans 4 théâtres lyriques en Bavière: Augsburg, Münich, Regensburg, Wurzburg .
Ce projet fut pour moi une opportunité hors-pairs de d’abord apprendre quatre rôles au complet, dont trois sont dans les standards opératiques et me seront très utiles (Suzuki, Hänsel, Maddalena et Mother Goose). C’était ensuite une chance de rencontrer plusieurs figures importantes dans le monde musical en Bavière et de me faire des contacts positifs pour la suite de ma carrière en Allemagne et en Europe. Je termine cette période en connaissant exactement comment les théâtres allemands procèdent dans le jour à jour, l’horaire d’une telle institution, la façon dont ils procèdent lors d’une productions, le language musical utilisé et comment se passe le processus d’audition là-bas. De plus, j’attendais depuis longtemps une opportunité de passer une période de temps extensive en Allemagne, afin d’approfondir mes connaissances de l’Allemand, langue très utilisée dans le monde de l’opéra.
Finalement, je me sens très chanceuse d’avoir eu l’occasion de me présenter sur scène, ce qui n’était pas prévu au départ : à Würzburg dans deux performances de The Rake’s Progress, en tant que Mother Goose; à Augsburg dans une performance de Hänsel und Gretel, en tant que Hänsel; et à Munich dans le concert « Attacca-Konzert » en tant que soliste invitée.
Il est évident que cette expérience a été très fructueuse et je souhaite qu’elle continue de l’être dans le futur et que je puisse maintenir les liens avec ces théâtres bavarois qui m’ont si chaleureusement accueilli.

Séjour de Kristin Hoff dans les théâtres lyriques de Augsburg et de Regensburg
Duesseldorf, Innsbruck, Regensburg, Komische Berlin, Theater an der Wien, and Reisopera, as well as for the casting director of the Dutch Radio Orchestra. I was able to audition for several agencies: Guelzow, ZAV Muenchen, and Klein. The ZAV Muenchen was able to set up several of the auditions for me, but many auditions were also arranged because of the contacts that Mr. Alain Nonat and Mr. Hans Nieuwenhuis of the Jeunes Ambassadeurs Lyriques were able to make on my behalf. This time in Germany was a fantastic learning experience. My German is now at a quite good level and I saw the inner workings of two important German houses and some great artists at work in them. I am in conversation with both the Dutch Radio Orchestra and the Reisopera concerning future employment, and it is still possible I be contacted by other theatres concerning potential contracts. To find more contrats. The expérience was a huge challenge, but a very rewarding one.

Récipiendaire du prestigieux prix Québec-Bavière en 2014, je me suis donc rendue en Allemagme pour travailler auprès de deux compagnies d’opéra situées à Würzburg et Regensburg. L’expérience a été très bénéfique. J’ai rencontré plusieurs personnes qui ont été très encourageantes et qui m’ont reconfirmé que tout était possible pour moi. Ceci est en soi une grande réussite.
A Würzburg, ’ai également assisté à des répétitions et constatée la vitesse de l’apprentissage des chanteurs et leur charge de travail. Pendant 3 semaines, j’ai été accueillie à bras ouverts en travaillant tous les jours avec des personnes de qualité. Finalement, j’ai chanté pour le directeur musical, Maestro Calesso, qui impressionné, souhaitait à mots couverts vouloir travailler avec moi dans le futur.
Bref, comment décrire l’Allemagne pour moi : bénéfique sur tous les points de vue. En conclusion au risque de me répéter, l’Allemagne a été une superbe expérience personnelle , et ce, à tous les niveaux. Je remercie chaleureusement toutes les personnes qui ont rendu cette expérience des plus enrichissantes possibles

I have been a performer at this distinguished program for four consecutive years, during which I have met many great colleagues, general and artistic directors of some of the most respected opera companies and festivals across Europe.Through JAL, I have received offers from opera companies and festivals such as Choregies D’Orange, Sori Festival in Korea, Teatro Comunale di Bologna, International Opera Singing Competition of Marmande ( Association de Festival Lyrique en Marmandais ). I have also been recently invited by Orfeo Foundation in Amsterdam for an audition tour in Germany. I am very grateful for the many performance opportunities I have received through the assistance of Jeunes Ambassadeurs Lyriques.”

My name is Marcel d’Entremont and I am a tenor from Nova Scotia who recently graduated from the University of Toronto with a Masters in vocal performance. I have also recently had the rare and exciting opportunity to perform the role of Don Ottavio in France, at both the Opera de Rouen, as well as the Palace of Versailles. These two considerable performance opportunities were made possible by the combination of hard work from Mr. Alain Nonat as well as your generous donations, without which this opportunity wouldn’t have been possible. As a young singer and student, I could never have possibly imagined that at 25 years old I would already have performed in venues like those in France, or that I would be making my international debut with singers from all over the world. This was a chance for me to network with directors, conductors, pianists, coaches, diction specialists, and fellow singers, and these connections are invaluable to me as they could potentially lead to future work. The chance to perform this role was also very exciting for me, especially since this is the repertoire which is expected of a young tenor, and hopefully one which I will sing again many times.
I truly cannot tell you how wonderful this experience was for me. It has given me the confidence to continue following my passion and pursuing a career path which can often be challenging and demanding. Your generous donations also eliminated the financial burden of traveling to France and back; an expense which is not insubstantial. The Jeunes Ambassador Lyriques program has given my career a huge kick-start in the right direction, and I am tremendously grateful for your contribution towards supporting young singers follow their passion. Le programme des Jeunes ambassadeurs lyriques a donné un élan majeur à ma carrière en me permettant d’obtenir mes premiers engagements à l’étranger.
Les Jeunes ambassadeurs lyriques, c’est d’abord la chance de pouvoir auditionner devant de nombreux directeurs d’opéra d’Europe et d’Asie. Il est rare au Québec d’avoir la chance d’auditionner pour les théâtres en dehors de l’Amérique, c’est donc une opportunité exceptionnelle qu’offre le programme. En plus de ces auditions, les Jeunes ambassadeurs lyriques font un remarquable travail de promotion des chanteurs auprès des théâtres. Cela permet aux chanteurs d’obtenir leurs premiers engagements à l’étranger, ce qui contribue à faire évoluer leur carrière de façon importante.
Suite à ma participation au programme, j’ai donc obtenu mes premiers engagements à l’étranger, dans des théâtres importants tels que ceux de Minsk, Bologne, Ratisbonne, Massy et Erfurt, en plus d’une tournée de concerts en Chine. De plus, les bourses que j’ai reçues lors du Gala international d’opéra ont aidé à couvrir les frais de mes déplacements à l’international.
Le programme des Jeunes ambassadeurs lyriques comble un rôle essentiel qui n’a pas d’égal au pays, celui de non seulement offrir un soutien financier à de jeunes chanteurs talentueux, mais surtout de faire la promotion active des chanteurs à l’étranger en leur offrant des opportunités concrètes.

Les jeunes ambassadeurs lyriques is a truly unique and innovative program. It has been incredibly instrumental in providing many young singers, including myself, experiences and opportunities that are unparalleled throughout the rest of Canada. Through this incredible program, I have had the opportunity to audition and perform in Europe and Asia and to perform for several different theater directors and agents from both of these continents. I am deeply grateful for the fantastic opportunities afforded to me by being a member of JAL and for the wonderful artists I have had the opportunity to meet and collaborate with throughout the years. This program is unbelievably important to the continued growth and support of young classical singers.
