4e Concert Co-OPERA-tif annuel Mexico-Canada
ON JANUARY 13, 2018, OSM presented its 4th cultural exchange concert featuring artists from Canada singing alongside recent winners of Concurso San Miguel, Our annual Mexico-Canada Co-OPERA-tive Concert, starred Opera San Miguel’s tenor César Delgado, first prize winner of Concurso 2015 and baritone Carlos López, winner of Concurso 2017, with two exciting young Canadian singers, soprano Andrea Núñez and mezzo-soprano Emma Char, both winners of the Opera San Miguel Prize at the 24th Edition of Les Jeunes Ambassadeurs Lyriques, held in Montreal in 2017. At the piano was the marvelous Mario Alberto Hernández. These remarkable talents joined together to present a program of opera arias, duets, a trio and a quartet in a wide-ranging and ambitious program of music, from Handel, Bellini, Rossini, Donizetti, R. Strauss, Korngold and Verdi and others. Superb preparation and remarkable singing by all made this one of our most memorable programs ever! Bravi tutti!
